The projector contrast determines the sharpness of the image. The measuring unit of the contrast is the ratio between the lightest and darkest condition of the pixel. The higher the ration the better the contrast.

The matrix (natural) resolution determines the number of colour dots (pixels) the projector can display without compression (at the maximum sharpness of the image). The higher the matrix resolution the better the sharpness of the image and the bigger the software desktop for efficient work.
